Who is this masked man?
Do you know this man?
Has this man been seen in a model collection you are familiar with?
He is quite old (although he has all his hair - which he doesn't dye, honest)
The startled look of a man who doesn't remember where he came from
Please help them find their identities!
I have had these warriors in my collection for a long, long time, probably at least 25 years but possibly closer 30.
I bought them painted, at the Claymore show in Edinburgh in Nineteen Oatcake.
They have made a few Saga appearances, and my mate Alan, being even older in the tooth than I am, was asking who made them but I have no idea which manufacturer produced them.
So my friends can you help?
Think Dave means "my mate"
ReplyDeleteLol! Indeed - duly edited!
ReplyDeleteSorry, not a clue???
ReplyDeleteMaybe old Asgard Miniatures?
ReplyDeleteThanks Caliban - that seems to be the view of some of the posters on TMP
DeleteI think the second ones name is Colin... They are a mystery to me sorry.
ReplyDeleteNaw, that's his twin brother Justin. Colin is photo number 5!
DeleteI would think that one of the guys in the painting/gaming community would know who these are. Have you thought about posting the question on the TMP?
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne. I have done that and a couple of the guys there have suggested that they were made by a company called Asgard Miniatures which would date them to the very early 1980's .
DeleteThat also means that they are long out of production as Asgard went bust many years ago :-(
General concensus was Asgard and a nice guy from TMP, Roy, has kindly agreed to send a few up to me to satisfy my figure nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteCheers All.
Alan
