Carronade 2012

Well now that the excitement of Salute has died down a bit, it's that time of year for the Wargaming  Community in Scotland to enjoy their first "big" show of the year - "Carronade" on Saturday 5th May.

The guys at Falkirk District Wargames Club are hosting a show that over the years has got bigger and better. A good mix of display games and participation games will be there and some well known traders in the Wargames Community will be displaying their wares to tempt us to buy all that shiny. There will also be a Flea Market and Painting Competitions.

The venue, once again is Graeme High School in Falkirk, a big spacious venue, never feels too cramped and crowded, pretty decent cafe as well.

Doors open at 10am and ticket prices are £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.

More details about which Traders and clubs are attending can be found on the FDWC web page here

I will be there - I still haven't invested in a decent camera so hopefully the iPhone will cope and the battery will last but I will look to get pics and show report up on the blog over the week end.

  1. Get yourself a real camera Kingsley, you know you want to!

  2. I know I should Jim but money spent on a camera means less money for spending on shiny. Choices choices!

  3. Looking forward to pictures sir!

  4. Looking forward to your pics and the loot!

  5. Have a great time and looking forward to the photographs.

  6. I hope you have a good time and try not to spend too much money like those boys who went to Salute did. Are you painting any of those figures you had lying about in that cupboard yet?

    1. Thanks Anne! Yes I'll be good on the spending front- got hit with a couple of large bills at the start of the month so not so many pennies available for spending on toys.

And yes I've started on those figures! Working on the Adventurers Cart just now and have some more sitting in the paint stripper (including Boobies). No fancy paint work for them though, will be keeping it pretty basic just to get them done.
